International Field Marketing Manager, Latin America & the Caribbean, Dunkin Brands

Celia is a native New Yorker, but has called the South home since 2000. She’s been in Marketing for the duration of her career, having previously worked in the music industry, television, advertising agencies and finally found her calling with QSR (food service). She’s been with Dunkin’ Brands as a Field Marketing Manager for over 7 years, working on Baskin-Robbins, then managing Markets in the Southeast for Dunkin’ Donuts and oversees Latin America and the Caribbean.

Filmmaker

Specializing in Social and Behavioral Change Communication, Gina Margillo has produced and directed multimedia based, social movement initiatives from environmental justice and public health, to sexual and reproductive rights for the United Nations, Planned Parenthood Latin America, and governmental and non-profit organizations. As an artist, she uses the mediums of dance, performance, conceptual art, video, and collage to tell stories, deconstruct issues, and build connection. Gina is a Professor of Communication, specializing in Storytelling for Social Change. She joined the Hanan Arts Executive Board in 2019.

Elisabela Valls

Board Member

Educator and Educational Leader, Dancer

Elisabela (Bela) Valls, Ed.D. is interested in the intersection of arts and education and the role of the arts as an essential component in education. Her eclectic background includes a B.A. in philosophy and literature, an M.B.A. in management, and an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. Having studied dance and music from an early age, she developed a parallel career as a dancer and arts administrator. Bela is a firm believer in the power of the arts to communicate stories, as well as a source of internal reflection and personal healing.

Melanie Van Allen
Board Member

Educator and Educational Leader, Dancer

Melanie Anastacia Van Allen (Ph.D. M.A. M.F.A.) holds a Ph.D. in Dance Studies from Texas Woman’s University. She also holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the Draper Program of Social Thought at New York University and a Master of Arts in Performance Studies from the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. She also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Dance Choreography/Performance from the University of Michigan.
